“So, I’m not really a drinker,” she says, while sipping on a Carrot Cake Martini. Ironic, yes. But true. I don’t drink beer at all, or wine really, but give me something sweet that sounds like dessert, and I’m easily convinced.
Now, do I drink a lot? Not at all. But I do enjoy a martini or two, once a week. And I sure do like to try new ones. So when it was brought to my attention that I should start a Drink of the Month club and let people add their favorite drinks & recipes, I was all in! But waiting an entire month to add a new selection is just cruel – so we’re doing a Drink of the WEEK club!
Tonight’s selection was the Carrot Cake Martini. While on a date night with my husband a few years back, this drink was on the menu at Giardinos, a superb restaurant & bar just one town over from my home. I took a pic of the drink when it arrived, and asked the bartender for the ingredients, because of course, I needed to make this at home.
Carrot Cake Martini – now keep in mind, it doesn’t sound like it would taste like a carrot cake, but boy, is this tasty!
- 1 shot Irish cream liqueur (such as Baileys®)
- 1 shot butterscotch schnapps
- 1 shot red cinnamon schnapps
- 1 shot vanilla or whipped cream vodka
If you’re like me, you’ll want to garnish the glass. I dip the rim in cinnamon & sugar. That’s it! Enjoy! If you make this one, comment and let me know how you liked it!
Stay tuned for more drink recipes! If you have one you’d like to add, let me know!
All my best,
Dolly
